Subject : Procedure for training & evaluation for grant of PIC Ratings to pilots who fail to qualify in their first attempt.
Director General of Civil Aviation has decided that henceforth pilots who fail to qualify for the grant of PIC Rating on an aircraft in their first attempt on Simulator or actual aircraft, shall undergo thorough training and evaluation by a Board consisting of at least two DGCA approved examiners. Such Board shall prescribe minimum number of approaches on the Simulator and on the aircraft which the pilot would be required to demonstrate successfully before the PIC Rating can be granted.
