Instructions on how to reserve a Registration mark
Notes
1: The List of Available Marks is updated on a monthly basis and it is inevitable that some marks will become unavailable as the month progresses, but they will still be displayed until the list is next updated.
2: The registration Marks beginning with the letter 'Q' and registration marks such as 'SOS', 'PAN' and 'TTT' cannot be allotted to avoid confusion with international code of signals. Registration marks beginning with the letter 'X' are reserved for experimental aircraft.
3: The applicant shall familiarise himself on CAR Section 2 Series 'F' Part I - Procedure relating to registration of aircraft before applying for a registration mark(s).
Mark reservation requests are processed in an 'order of receipt' basis. This means that if two requests to reserve the same mark are received on the same day, the reservation request received first will be awarded the mark.
If your application to reserve a mark is successful you will receive a letter of confirmation through the mail. If your application is rejected for any reason you will receive a letter of explanation.
