Aircraft register - How to reserve a registration mark

  1. Check that the mark appears on the List of Available Marks .
  2. Apply to Director General of Civil Aviation (Attn. Director of Airworthiness), Opp. Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi - 100003, ensuring that you include aircraft details to prove your intent to register an aircraft.

The List of Available Marks is updated on a monthly basis and it is inevitable that some marks will become unavailable as the month progresses, but they will still be displayed until the list is next updated.

Mark reservation requests are processed in an 'order of receipt' basis. This means that if two requests to reserve the same mark are received on the same day, the reservation request received first will be awarded the mark.

If your application to reserve a mark is successful you will receive a letter of confirmation through the mail. If your application is rejected for any reason you will receive a letter of explanation.
